Neighborhood Features
The Lakewood Hills neighborhood features a lakefront setting, with professional landscaping and mature trees located adjacent to Huntsman Lake Park.
There is a small tot lot on Giltinan Court, as well as a larger tot lot and basketball court on Golden Horseshoe Court.
Additionally, a large playground with basketball courts and a picnic area is located at the end of Dorothy Lane. This park can be accessed from the path around Huntsman Lake.
Swimming Pools
Lakewood Hills does not have a pool within the neighborhood. However, many residents enjoy swimming at nearby pools:

Membership requirements and fees vary. Pools are open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Nearby Recreation
South Run RECenter offers multiple athletic fields, tennis courts, accessible playground, basketball courts, off-leash dog park, field house, indoor pool, and paved trails.

​Burke Lake Park offers a marina, trails, boat rentals, fishing, camping, multiple playgrounds, miniature golf, ice cream parlor, carousel, miniature train and frisbee golf course.
​
​Burke Lake Golf Center is located adjacent to Burke Lake Park with an 18-hole course, a newly-renovated driving range, and a practice bunker.
​
Fairfax County Park Authority hosts a variety of wonderful classes and camps at the parks listed above and nearby elementary schools.

Be a Good Neighbor
When you see newspapers and fliers accumulating next door, be a good neighbor and hold them until the resident returns.
Neighborhood Watch
​Serve on our Neighborhood Watch Committee. There are various positions available for those available during the daytime or evenings. Only a couple of hours are required each month, and schedules are flexible!

Community Beautification​
Participate in neighborhood cleanup efforts or schedule one as a community service project! The HOA will furnish all trash bags and post signs for your event in the community.

Attend Monthly HOA Meetings
Homeowners' meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM.

Schools
Children living in Lakewood Hills may attend the following Fairfax County public schools:

​Sangster Elementary is the local Advanced Academics Center and also has a wonderful Autism program

​West Springfield High School offers ESOL, a full range of special education services and many AP courses. WSHS also has great athletics and fine arts programs.

​Thomas Jefferson HS for Science & Technology offers an intensive academic environment and admission by application only. TJHSST is consistently ranked as one of the top public schools in the country.
Trash/Recycling Schedule
Patriot Disposal Services will remove residents' trash on Tuesdays and Fridays. Recycling will also be collected on Wednesdays.
Please check their website for trash/recycling pick-up during inclement weather.

Association Dues
HOA dues are divided into four installments. Lakewood Hills #1 homeowners must submit payment every quarter to Cardinal Management in January, April, July, and October.
At the start of each year, homeowners are issued voucher booklets from Cardinal Management. Checks sent through the U.S. Postal Service should be accompanied by the corresponding quarterly voucher. Homeowners may also set up automatic payments from their checking accounts.
